Our Story
Greetings!
My name is Lisa and I am the sole proprietor and creator of Almost Heaven Crafting. AHC began when I lost my son, Aiden, who was stillborn Dec 21st 2019. I received what is called a "Loss Box" that day and within that box was teeny yellow knit hat and a cozy knit blanket. These would be what I got to bring home and have to remember him by. They were the most amazing things to me.
Because they meant so much to me and I needed a distraction I began loom knitting hats and booties for families that were in my position as a form of therapy and to keep myself busy. This need to give families that little bit of "comfort" and a small memory to keep with them always, slowly became a calming passion. And as time went on, others asked me if I would be willing to loom knit something specific to their personality and style. And from there AHC has grown to what it is today.
My passion to transform yarn into memorable creations for others helps me to feel closer to Aiden even though he is not with us.
The overall reason I chose to begin Almost Heaven Crafting was to bring a little joy into the lives of those that had lost theirs. And now,
my overall goal is to offer a gateway to help others express themselves and to bring a smile and some joy to their life.
